Sportmanship and a Great Atmosphere: B+B at the Black Forest Mountain Bike Cup

On June 14, the “Uracher Kirchwald” once again transformed into a sporting hotspot. As part of the renowned “Black Forest Mountain Bike Cup” race series, the Urach Ski Club hosted this year’s mountain bike race, once again featuring the special “Down Country” discipline.

As one of the main sponsors, B+B Thermo-Technik was, of course, there again. We really made everyone’s eyes light up during the awards ceremony: As a highlight for the participants, we once again offered our popular, “ultra-cool” B+B cycling socks as prizes this year.

A Day of Superlatives

With around 280 participants, we were thrilled to set a new attendance record! This success was the result of a perfect combination of ideal weather, a challenging course, and first-class organization by the Urach Ski Club. Early in the morning, numerous cyclists took the opportunity to thoroughly test the Down Country course.

Action on the Trail

Race day featured exciting competitions in various categories:

• Morning: Start of the U13 through U19 age groups (boys and girls).
• Afternoon: The U9, U11, and U15 age groups, as well as the entertaining “just-for-fun” “U100” category.

The format promised maximum excitement: Each participant completed two runs on the Down-Country course, with the fastest time from each run counting toward the final standings.

We’ve had a great event, and we’re already looking forward with great anticipation to next year, when the starting bells of the Down-Country race will ring again in Urach.
