B+B at the bike race in Urach

On July 27, the 35th Bike Race took place in Urach, which is part of the Black Forest MTB Cup. This year, a new format – Down Country – was introduced, which was well received by both riders and spectators. Instead of a classic cross-country race, participants started individually and rode a predominantly downhill course against the clock. An open category for parents, hobby athletes, supervisors, and coaches also generated excitement and encouraged participants to try out the new format themselves.

The approximately 0.5 km long route with about 80 meters of elevation change was adapted to the skill level and varied by age group. It went through forest paths, single trails, and field sections – a true mix of technique and speed.

Also participating as the main sponsor at this pioneering event was B+B Thermo-Technik GmbH, which supported 180 participants on their way to the finish line. In addition to great prizes, each participant also received special cycling socks from B+B.
