B+B Thermo-Technik Messtechnik & Sensorik | Measurement technology & sensors | SPS

Exhibition stand SPS

For years, the SPS has been one of the most important industry trade fairs in the field of industrial automation and thus a highlight for the industry every year. With approximately 65,700 trade visitors in 2018, of which almost 28% came from abroad, countless business contacts have been established in recent years. The total of 1,631 exhibitors, 33 % of them from abroad, showed the complete spectrum of smart and digital automation – from simple sensors to intelligent solutions, from what is feasible today to the vision of a comprehensively digitized industrial world.

For 2019, B+B Thermo-Technik GmbH has also decided to be part of the SPS in Nuremberg and exhibit there. With well-known products such as the thermocouple connectors, temperature sensors, cable sensors and infrared measurement technology, B+B will present itself as well as with the product and service innovations: The new combined temperature, humidity and pressure probes will be exhibited and the brand new DAkkS calibration service will be marketed.

The new robust temperature, humidity and pressure sensors from B+B Thermo-Technik defy wind and weather and provide precise measurement results for your applications. Depending on the requirements, the sensors are available in four different designs. In the case of the duct sensor, the measuring sensor is attached to the evaluation electronics from below and the sensor tube is available in different lengths. The pendulum sensor has a measuring probe that is permanently mounted on the housing by means of a cable. Different cable and sensor tube lengths are also available here. With the so-called outdoor sensor, the measuring sensor is mounted horizontally on the evaluation electronics. This design is particularly suitable for wall mounting. In addition, there is a fourth, compact design. In this case, the B+B design housing does not have an externally routed sensor and therefore impresses with its simple elegance.

Each of the four designs mentioned is available as a temperature sensor, as a combined temperature and humidity sensor or as a compact temperature, humidity and air pressure sensor. Equipped with output signals such as 0-10 V or 4-20 mA, adjustable measuring ranges and offset, this sensor series meets all common requirements. The digital sensors measure temperature ranges from -40 to +125 °C and humidity from 0 to 100 % RH.

Depending on the requirements, the devices are supplied in plastic or die-cast aluminum housings. Absolute novelty: Optionally, this series is available with a 1.54″ white-paper display. This viewing angle-stable, flicker-free and low-energy display shows the current measured values directly. A high long-term stability as well as a very good measuring accuracy for your application and the exact tailoring to customer requirements ensure an optimal price-performance ratio and a fast amortization time.

In order to make these versatile sensors even more flexible and efficient, further variants with the measured variables CO, CO2, VOC and infrared will follow soon.

These sensors are used in particular in indoor climate monitoring, industrial measurement and control technology, and drying processes. They have been specially developed to meet the requirements of building automation and are particularly suitable for use in this area thanks to their state-of-the-art sensor technology and innovative design.

B+B has always pursued the goal of providing its customers and users with the best possible measurement solution, regardless of whether it is a standardized solution or a customized measurement development. Through the accredited DAkkS laboratory, B+B customers receive everything from a single source, from development to the finished measurement solution and subsequent calibration.

Visitors to the exhibition in Nuremberg can therefore expect not only numerous innovative measurement solutions and well thought-out concept solutions, but also true industry innovations.
